Italian priest joins Masons

Rome, Feb. 19, 2007 (CWNews.com) – An Italian Paulist priest has become a member of the Masons, joining the group in a ceremony attended by about 40 people at the Masonic headquarters at Piazza del Gesu in Rome.

Father Rosario Francesco Esposito dismissed the Church ban on membership in the Masonic lodge, saying that it is “a thing of the past.”

The move by the 85-year-old Father Esposito is particularly interesting because he, along with Father Giovanni Caprile, SJ [Note: SJ = Society of Jesus = Jesuits - TS], was once commissioned by the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith to study the Church’s teaching on masonry. In 1983 the prefect of the Congregation, then-Cardinal [Note: & SMOM Knight of Malta - TS] Joseph Ratzinger [Note: now Pope Benedict XVI - TS], made a public announcement that the teaching of the Church had not changed, and the ban on Masonic membership remained in place.

CLERMONT, COLLEGE OF

College of Jesuits in Paris, where James II, after his flight from England, in 1688, resided until his removal to St. Germain.

During his residence there, he is said to have sought the establishment of a system of Freemasonry, the object of which should be the restoration of the House of Stuart to the throne of England. Relics of this attempted system are still to be found in many of the advanced Degrees, and the Chapter of Clermont, subsequently organized in Paris, appears to have had some reference to it.

JESUITS

In the eighteenth century the Jesuits were charged with having an intimate connection with Freemasonry, and the invention of the Degree of Kadosh was even attributed to those members of the Society who constituted the College of Clermont. This theory of a Jesuitical Freemasonry seems to have originated with the Illuminati, who were probably governed in its promulgation by a desire to depreciate the character of all other Masonic systems in comparison with their own, where no such priestly interference was permitted. Barruel scoffs at the idea of such a connection, and cans it (Histoire de Jacobinisme iv, page 287) “la fable de la Franc-Maçonnerie Jésuitique” meaning an invention of false or Jesuitical Freemasonry. For once he is right. Like oil and water the tolerance of Freemasonry and the intolerance of the “Society of Jesus” cannot commingle. Yet it cannot be denied that, while the Jesuits have had no part in the construction of pure Freemasonry, there are reasons for believing that they took an interest in the invention of some Degrees and systems which were intended to advance their own interests. But wherever they touched the Institution they left the trail of the serpent.

They sought to convert its pure philanthropy and toleration into political intrigue and religious bigotry. Hence it is believed that they had something to do with the invention of those Degrees, which were intended to aid the exiled house of Stuart in its efforts to regain the English throne, because they believed that would secure the restoration in England of the Roman Catholic religion. Almost a library of books has been written on both sides of this subject in Germany and in France.

PERFECTION, RITE OF

In 1754, the Chevalier de Bonneville established a Chapter of the advanced Degrees at Paris, in the College of Jesuits of Clermont, hence called the Chapter of Clermont. The system of Freemasonry he there practiced received the name of the Rite of Perfection, or Rite of Heredom. The College of Clermont was, says Rebold (History of Three Grand Lodges, page 46) the asylum of the adherents of the House of Stuart, and hence the Rite is to some extent tinctured with Stuart Freemasonry It consisted of twenty-five Degrees as follows:

It will be seen that the Degrees of this Rite are the same as those of the Council of Emperors of the East and West, which was established four years later, and to which the Chapter of Clermont gave way. Of course, they are the same, so far as they go, as those of the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite which succeeded the Council of Emperors. The distinguishing principle of this Rite is, that Freemasonry was derived from Templarism, and that consequently every Freemason was a Knight Templar. It was there that the Baron von Hund was initiated, and from it, through him, proceeded the Rite of Strict Observance; although he discarded the Degrees and retained only the Templar theory.

SCOTTISH RITE

Some authorities call this the Ancient and Accepted Rite, but as the Latin Constitutions of the Order designate it as the Antiquus Scoticus Ritus Acceptus, or the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite, that title has now been very generally adopted as the correct name of the Rite.

Although one of the youngest of the Masonic Rites, having been established not earlier than the year 1801, it is at this day most popular and the most extensively diffused. Supreme Councils or governing Bodies of the Rite are to be found in almost every civilized country of the world, and in many of them it is the only Masonic Obedience. The history of its organization is briefly this: In 1758, a Body was organized at Paris called the Council of Emperors of the East and West. This Council organized a Rite called the Rite of Perfection, which consisted of twenty-five Degrees, the highest of which was Sublime Prince of the Royal Secret.

In 1761, this Council granted a Patent or Deputation to Stephen Morin, authorizing him to propagate the Rite in the Western Continent, whither he was about to repair. In the same year, Morin arrived at the City of Santo Domingo, where he commenced the dissemination of the Rite, and appointed many Inspectors, both for the West Indies and for the United States. Among others, he conferred the Degrees on Moses M. Hayes, with a power of appoint ing others when necessary. Hayes accordingly appointed Isaac Da Costa Deputy Inspector-General for South Carolina, who in 1783 introduced the Rite into that State by the establishment of a Grand Lodge of Perfection in Charleston. Other Inspectors were subsequently appointed, and in 1801 a Supreme Council lvas opened in Charleston by John Mitchell and Frederick Dalcho.

There is abundant evidence in the Archives of the Supreme Council that up to that time the twenty-five Degrees of the Rite of Perfection were alone recognized. But suddenly, with the organization of the Supreme Council, there arose a new Rite, fabricated by the adoption of eight more of the continental advanced Degrees, so as to make the Thirty-third and not the Twenty-fifth Degree the summit of the Rite.

The Rite consists of thirty-three Degrees, which are divided into six sections, each section being under an appropriate Jurisdiction, and are as follows:

These are sometimes called the Blue or Symbolic Degrees. They are not conferred by the Scottish Rite in England, Scotland, Ireland, or in the United States because the Supreme Councils refrain from exercising jurisdiction through respect to the older authority in those countries of the York and American Rite.

The classification of the above Degrees is as they are arranged in the Southern Jurisdiction. In the Northern Masonic Jurisdiction the Consistory grades begin at Grand Pontiff, the nineteenth, and include the thirty-second, Sublime Prince of the Royal Secret, and the Council of Princes of Jerusalem governs the fifteenth and sixteenth grades Several of the titles of the Degrees vary in their use by the Supreme Councils but the above table covers most of these variations. The Southern Jurisdiction for example omits the word Grand from the names of the twelfth, fourteenth, nineteenth, twentieth and twenty-ninth grades, and also uses Elu instead of the other designations, omits Commander from the thirty-first, and specifies Master in the thirty-second.

A full account of the Rite is in Doctor Mackey’s revised History of Freemasonry but numerous details under individual headings are in the present work (see Educational Foundalions).

STUART MASONRY

This title is given by Masonic historians to that system of Freemasonry Which is supposed to have been invented by the adherents of the exiled House of Stuart for the purpose of being used as a political means of restoring, first, James II, and afterward his son and grandson, James and Charles Edward, respectively known in history as the Chevalier Saint George and the Young Pretender. Most of the conclusions to which Masonic writers have arrived on the subject of this connection of the Stuarts with the advanced Degrees of Freemasonry are based on conjecture; but in the opinion of Doctor Mackey there is sufficient internal evidence in the character of some of these Degrees, as well as in the known history of their organization, to establish the fact that such a connection did actually exist.

The first efforts to create a Masonic influence in behalf of his family is attributed to James II, who had abdicated the throne of England in 1688. Of him, Noorthouck says (Constitutions, 1784, page 192), that he was not “a Brother Mason,” and sneeringly adds, in his index, that “he might have been a better King had he been a Mason.” But Lenning says that after his flight to France, and during his residence at the Jesuit College of Clermont, where he remained for some time, his adherents, among whom were the Jesuits, fabricated certain Degrees with the ulterior design of carrying out their political views. At a later period these Degrees were, he says, incorporated into French Freemasonry under the name of the Clermont System, in reference to their original construction at that place. Gädicke had also said that many Scotchmen followed him, and thus introduced Freemasonry into France. But this opinion is only worthy of citation because it proves that such an opinion was current among the German scholars of the eighteenth century.

On his death, which took place at the Palace of St. Germain en Laye in 1701, he was succeeded in his claims to the British throne by his son, who was recognized by Louis XIV, of France, under the title of James III, but who is better known as the Chevalier Saint George, or the Old Pretender. The word Pretender here should be given the understanding of claimant. He also sought, says Lenning, to find in the high Degrees of Freemasonry a support for his political views, but, as he remarks, with no better results than those which had attended the attempts of his father.
His son, Prince Charles Edward, who was commonly called by the English the Young Pretender, took a more active part than either his father or grandfather in the pursuits of Freemasonry; and there is abundant historical evidence that he was not only a Freemason, but that he held high office in the Order, and was for a time zealously engaged in its propagation; always, however, it is supposed, with political views.

In 1745 he invaded Scotland, with a view to regain the lost throne of his ancestors, and met for some time with more than partial success. On September 24, 1745, he was admitted into the Order of Knights’ Templar, and was elected Grand Master, an office which it is said that he held until his death. On his return to France after his ill-fated expedition, the Prince is said to have established at the City of Arras, on April 151 1747, a Rose Croix Chapter under the title of Scottish Jacobite Chapter. In the Patent for this Chapter he styles himself “King of England, France, Scotland, and Ireland, and, as such, Substitute Grand Master of the Chapter of Herodem, known under the title of Knight of the Eagle and Peliean, and since our misfortunes and disasters under that of Rose Croix.”

In 1748, the Rite of the Veille-Bru, or Faithful Scottish Masons, was created at Toulouse in grateful remembrance of the reception given by the Freemasons of that Orient to Sir Samuel Lockhart, the Aide-de-camp of the Pretender. Ragan says (Orthodoxie Maçonnique, page 122), in a note to this statement, the “favorites who accompanied this prince into France were in the habit of selling to speculators Charters for Mother Lodges, Patents for Chapters, etc. These titles were their property, and they did not fail to make use of them as a means of livelihood.” Ragon says (Thuileur General, page 367), that the degrees of Irish Master, Perfect Irish Master, and Puissant Irish Master were invented in France, in 1747, by the favorites of Charles Edward Stuart and sold to the partisans of that Prince. One Degree was openly called the Scottish Master of the Sacree Vault of James VI, as if to indicate its Stuart character. The Degree still exists as the Thirteenth of the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite, but it has been shorn of its political pretensions and its title changed.

Findell has given in his History of Freemasonry (English translation, page 209), a very calm and impartial account of the rise of this Stuart Freemasonry. He says: “Ever since the banishment of the Stuarts from England in 1688, secret alliances had been kept up between Rome and Scotland; for to the former place the Pretender James Stuart had retired in l719, and his son Charles Edward was born there in 1720; and these communications became the more intimate, the higher the hopes of the Pretender rose. The Jesuits played a very important part in these conferences. Regarding the reinstatement of the Stuarts and the extension of the power of the Roman church as identical, they sought, at that time, to make the society of Freemasons subservient to their ends. But to make use of the Fraternity to restore the exiled family to the throne could not possibly have been contemplated, as Freemasonry could hardly be said to exist in Scotland then.

Perhaps in 1724, when Ramsay was a year in Rome, or in 1728, when the Pretender in Parma kept up an intercourse with the restless Duke of Wharton, a Past Grand Master, this idea was first entertained; and then, when it was apparent how difficult it would be to corrupt the loyalty and fealty of Freemasonry in the Grand Lodge of Scotland, founded in 1736, this Scheme was set on foot, of assembling the faithful adherents of the banished royal family in the high Degrees! The soil which was best adapted for this innovation was France, where the low ebb to which Freemasonry had sunk had paved the way for all kinds of newfangled notions, and where the Lodges were composed of Scotch conspirators and accomplices of the Jesuits. When the path had thus been smoothed by the agency of these secret propagandists, Ramsay, at that time Grand Orator, an office unknown in England, by his speech completed the preliminaries necessary for the introduction of the high Degrees; their further development was left to the instrumentality of others, whose influence produced a result somewhat different from that originally intended. Their course we can now pursue, assisted by authentic historical information.

In 1752, Scottish Masonry, as it was denominated, penetrated into Germany, Berlin, prepared from a ritual very similar to one used in Lille in 1749 and 1750. In 1743, Thory tells us, the Masons in Lyons, under the name of the Petit Elu, or the Lesser Elect, invented the Degree of Kadosh, which represents the revenge of the Templars. The Order of Knights Templar had been abolished in 1311, and to that epoch they were obliged to have recourse when, after the banishment of several Knights from Malta in 1720 because they were Freemasons, it was not longer possible to keep up a connection with the Order of Saint John or Knights of Malta. then in the plenitude of their power under the sovereignty of the Pope. A pamphlet entitled Freemasonry Divested of all its Secrets published in Strasburg in 1745, contains the first glimpse of the Strict Observance, and demonstrates how much they expected the Brotherhood to contribute towards the expedition in favor of the Pretender. “

From what has been said, it is evident there was a strong belief that the exiled House of Stuart exercised an important part in the invention and extension of what has been called the High Masonry. The traces of the political system are seen at the present day in the internal organization of some of the advanced Degrees especially in the derivation and meaning of certain significant words. There is, indeed, abundant reason for believing that the substitute word of the Third Degree was changed by Ramsay, or some other fabricator of Degrees, to give it a reference to James II as “the son of the widow,” Queen Henrietta Maria. Further researches are needed to enable any author to Satisfactorily write all the details of this interesting episode in the history of Continental freemasonry . Documents are still wanting to elucidate certain intricate and, at present, apparently contradictory points.

In the Jacobite Lodge at Rome, by Brother William James Hughan, the author states (page 25): “Many statements have appeared from time to time respecting Prince Charles Edward Stuart’s connection with Freemasonry, documents being submitted to prove that he even held the highest possible rank in the craft; but so far as I have been able to discover, all such claims are of an apocryphal character. Some are most absurd, while others are directly opposed to the actual facts of the case.”

This may be supplemented by what Brother George W. Speth states on page 27 of the same work where he advises students, “to put no trust whatever in amounts connecting the Stuarts with Freemasonry. We have, too, in the Young Pretender’s own written and verbal statements that they are absolutely baseless, pure inventions.” However, as Brother Robert Freke Gould tells us, some “have affirmed, and with perhaps the greater share of reason, that the Prince was compelled by altered circumstances of his cause to repudiate any relations with Freemasonry,” and, of course, that gives another view of the matter, though it is curious that all through these years the tradition should have held its own with such remarkable tenacity.

The distinguishing principle of this Rite is that Freemasonry was derived from Templarism and that, consequently, every Freemason was a Knight Templar. It was there that the Baron von Hund was initiated, and from it, and through him, proceeded the Rite of Strict Observance; although he discarded the Degrees and retained only the Templar theory.

PERFECTION, RITE OF

In 1754, the Chevalier de Bonneville established a Chapter of the advanced Degrees at Paris, in the College of Jesuits of Clermont, hence called the Chapter of Clermont. The system of Freemasonry he there practiced received the name of the Rite of Perfection, or Rite of Heredom. The College of Clermont was, says Rebold (History of Three Grand Lodges, page 46) the asylum of the adherents of the House of Stuart, and hence the Rite is to some extent tinctured with Stuart Freemasonry It consisted of twenty-five Degrees as follows:

In 1754, Martines de Pasqually, a man said to have travelled the east in search of wisdom (the Rosenkreuz archetype) set up an order called the Scottish Judges in Montpellier. Six years later, in Bordeaux, he established the Cabala-influenced Order of Elect Cohens, of which Order Pasqually was Grand Sovereign.
The Elect Cohens practised a form of ceremonial magic: a combination of the Catholic Mass with the works of Renaissance occultists such as Henry Cornelius Agrippa. Pasqually claimed to be in contact with unearthly beings.
He held an animist conception of the universe, a universe pulsating with life on many planes or in ulterior dimensions to those experienced by human beings ordinarily. His ceremonies were regulated by astrological considerations.
According to Pasqually, “The bodies of the universe are all vital organs of eternal life.” The Moon and the Sun figured prominently in his system. Equinoxes were chosen as propitious times for important rituals, to encourage good spirits.

Daily Invocation

There was a daily invocation wherein the Elect Cohen would trace a circle on the floor, at the centre of which was inscribed the letter ‘W’ below a candle. The Cohen then stood in the circle and, holding a light to read the invocation, would begin: “O Kadoz, O Kadoz, who will enable one to become as I was originally when a spark of divine creation? Who will enable me to return in virtue and eternal spiritual power?”
The purpose of the invocations and evocations was ultimately to open communication with what Pasqually described as the “Active and Intelligent Cause”.
In 1772, Pasqually sailed to Santo Domingo in the Caribbean, leaving the Assemblée in the hands of his followers Bacon and Jean-Baptiste Willermoz. Pasqually never returned, dying in Port-au-Prince in 1774.
Bacon then joined the Grand Orient, a mainstream French masonic order (founded in 1772), while Willermoz (1730-1824) not only joined the Strict Observance Rite (founded in 1754 by Baron Hund) but also founded several influential orders of his own: the high-degree masonic order of Chevaliers Bienfaisants de la Cité Sainte, also known as the Rite Écossais Rectifié and also the Chevaliers de l’Aîgle Noir et Rose-Croix, a rite containing strong alchemical and neo-Rosicrucian themes.
According to Jackson, it was possibly in the year 1765 that Willermoz completed a Rose-Croix ritual which apparently forms the basis of that practised today as the 18th degree of the Ancient & Accepted Rite. It would have been helpful if a copy of Willermoz’s ritual appeared in the book next to that currently practised (though there are international variations), but that would be too much to expect from a member of an order sworn to secrecy. And here lies one of the problems of the book. …

‘Be the Soul of Europe’ – Pope Tells Bishops … ‘The Church is the Key to the European Union’ – Pope has told the Continent’s bishops’

John Paul II said that a purely economic concept of European integration would never lead to lasting unity.

‘We cannot simply conceive of Europe as a market of economic exchanges or a place for the free circulation of ideas but, above all, it must be a genuine community of nations, which want to unite their future and live like brothers, respecting the cultures and spiritual traditions, which cannot be on the margin of the common project or in opposition to it’,

the pontiff said in a letter to Cardinal Miloslav Vlk, Archbishop of Prague and president of the Council of European Episcopal Conferences, which met in Brussels last month.

So, once again, the Pope reveals that the agenda of the Roman Catholic Church is political and manipulative in its objective to be the dominant controlling force in Europe.

To appreciate Rome’s involvement in the politics and social policy of the European Union one must understand that the Roman Catholic Church is both a religious and political body and acts accordingly! The Roman Catholic Church considers it has the right to rule in the temporal affairs of the world, since the Church’s hierarchy represents the kingly rule of Christ on earth – that is, through the Pope, bishops and priests, the sovereignty of Christ is exercised in the affairs of nations and society.

HOW POLITICAL?

The Roman Catholic Church is founded on a political dogma claiming that the Pope is a ruler, or rather claims that the Pope is the supreme ruler of the world. Throughout history royalty of all nations including our queen have been expected to be subservient to the Papacy. Nothing of the Roman church has been revoked, both the spiritual and temporal supremacy of the Pope being still very much fundamental dogmas of Roman Catholic teaching and social doctrine.

Deliberate engineering to create the coming about of the European Union provides an enormous opportunity to develop and extend the influence of the Church of Rome. Remember it is Roman Catholic laymen who, from the beginning were behind the formation of, and today continue to push the growth of, the European Union.

Let us not forget that as far as this country voted in 1973, Europe was simply to be a Common Market. After years of cold wars and recessions the idea of working in a more structured way in terms of trade and in a community sharing free circulation of ideas was sold by the Heath Government to be the way forward.

However, what the electorate didn’t know, was that the plan all along was to form a totally integrated state of nations, not the co-operation of nation states but their incorporation into a super-state, which would rise up with the power to overturn sovereignty and the nations identity. Hence the evolving from the Common Market to the European Community and then to the European Union. Overnight the media gave EU its credence.

The deliberate deception was hatched because the powers that be knew that this nation would not swallow such a pill as the EU with all its implications in 1973; less than thirty years after the war which had thwarted the very essence of that now being promoted. So stealth, engineering of events and misleading government and media statements were to be the way that would enable the EU to come about.

THE PLAN

Devolve everything to the European Council of Ministers, the Commission and the Parliament, and conclude with their coming under the domination of Rome. Since this began we have seen in our country the disintegration of everything of value, and of significant historical importance. The Biblical foundations of the country have been simply cast aside and the wellbeing of the nation has been blinded to the extent that we no longer have autonomy and people do not seem to have noticed! Under judgement we certainly are.

This letter shows that the Pope thinks that the time is right to push a little further the objective of becoming the supreme (spiritual & political) head of Europe.

When the Pope refers to the Church one must remember that he only means the Roman Catholic Church. No other church is valid in the eyes of the Pope as he again declared a few weeks ago just before the Queen’s visit to see him in Rome. So after forty years of ecumenism (since Archbishop Ramsey in the 1960’s) time and money have been spent playing with words in the name of unity. Truth is closed out. The Roman Catholic Church has not moved or given an inch in any matter. The other churches compromise and are beguiled into feeling that it is necessary to communicate with this evil and diabolical lie. Every time someone makes a gesture to the Pope, either in meeting him or accepting what he says, credence is given to his church claims. It beggars belief. People are just so far from God’s word.

THE BIBLE TRUTH

Knowing the Bible should make us realise that it is pure folly to want to join (via ecumenism) this final apostasy of Babylon which is Biblically and historically wrong. Rome is unchanging, unrepentant and arrogant without change. People are striving for unity with this beast as though it was something required as a necessity in this life and for the next. Such folly when our gracious Lord brought us out of such bondage in the Sixteenth century and given much blessing to this small island that has influenced and led the world. What folly to return. It is as if the Israelites returned to Egypt four hundred and fifty years after the Red Sea Rescue. How easily man forgets his God and the works He has done in his life.

When one observes the people and churches meeting and signing alliances and the like with the Roman Catholic Church one is amazed at how all the fuss and bother of such activities enters their minds to do such. Their eyes, and minds are blinded to the farce of the situation. They have been sent a strong delusion and think there is no harm, no danger, no consequence for themselves, or for future generations or for the nation as a whole. We see our country emerging as a most ungodly nation, where truths and fundamental principles of what is right and what is wrong have been eroded. Our legal system based on duties and responsibilities has, this month, been taken over by a foreign system from the EU espousing a rights based culture.

THE STRATEGY

Two statements illustrate the strategy. The first is from the letters to the editor section of The Church of England Newspaper:

‘Cardinal deals blow to ecumenism’. Thank God is my reaction. I could not regard the Roman Catholic system a church anyway, so it is of little consequence that they have decided to reject more biblical churches.

However, the Vatican clearly knows the old communist tactic of hard/soft politics: first you are hard, then you appear to soften, then you suddenly go hard again…Result? Those who are looking to live peaceably with you are running around trying to please you either way. Pavlov discovered this with his dogs long ago.

People today talk of peace, love and toleration of many things that previously would not have been considered acceptable. In the same Church of England Newspaper someone wrote a letter saying that we: must not fall into the trap of further division. On no account should we, through our human frailties, add to the devil’s armoury.

These false assumptions are being perpetrated widely in the process of ‘dumbing down’. Is the division between Catholicism and Protestantism wrong? They think that it is. The anti-historical lobby has brainwashed people into seeing history as unreliable and therefore irrelevant. They look upon the division as ungodly and only doing the work of the devil. In the Scriptures it is shown that the Romish church is built upon and is building error, traps and leading persons to the Broad Way. Why persist in bowing down to the dictates of such a church.

There is no meeting half-way and that any changes are one way. What the Roman Catholic Church stands for, maintains and is currently doing has not changed. Its motto is ‘infallibly’ reliable – Semper eadem (Always the same). We are told that this will be so, in the Bible, and it has been in the events surrounding the Roman Church at present and it has been true throughout its history. What more evidence could be required?

WHAT THE POPE IS REALLY SAYING

The Church the Pope is talking about in his letter to the Cardinal Miloslav Vlk is not the true church of Jesus Christ but his very own the Catholic Church. And when he says THE CHURCH he means the POPE!! So the Pope himself is the key to the European Union.

Spaak was a founding father of the Common Market.

The Pope in the letter also speaks of, ‘a genuine community of nations, which want to unite their future and live like brothers, respecting the cultures and spiritual traditions.’

The Pope cannot compromise or change. He will not compromise or change. After declaring that churches outside of his are not considered to be churches, he now speaks of respect, toleration and brotherhood. When he brushes aside dialogue between the Church of Rome and the Protestant Churches, as he has done recently, how can he ‘co-operate with’ this variety of spiritual differences, which he identifies?.

UNITY

The Reformation represented a set back for the alliance between the Papacy and middle Europe and meant a defection of a large part of the European peoples from obedience to the Vatican. By whatever means (including that done by Hitler’s [infallible! - Vicar of Christ on Earth] Pope Pius) the influence lost is being regained.

People actually say that the Church of Rome has changed but when asked they can never quote a single change. From where do they get this misinformation? From the deceiver himself!

UNITY is the by-word on all ecumenists’ lips. Unity is an impossibility for the biblical-based Protestant Church. It would ultimately mean uniting with the Church of the Anti-Christ. How can there be unity with something where the fundamentals of the two parts are opposed? The issue is not a slight variation of interpretation on a small matter in the Bible, it is a dispute of great importance and a battle in opposing a false and blasphemous gospel and a political machine that leads many souls astray or one that destroys them if they won’t submit.

The social doctrine and teaching of the Church of Rome is a dangerous deceit.

When Dr Carey, the Archbishop of Canterbury met with Jacques Delors (a Roman Catholic) when he was President of the EU Commission they agreed that it is a shared spirituality that is needed to bind us all together – BUT WE KNOW what kind of spirituality that will be.

In the Sunday Telegraph an article of July 21st 1991 under the title of ‘Hatching a new Popish Plot’ informed us of the Pope’s plans for the ‘evangelisation of Great Britain and the whole European Continent’: ‘Karol Wojtyla is calmly preparing to assume the mantle which he solemnly believes to be his Divine Right – that of new Holy Roman Emperor, reigning from the Urals to the Atlantic.

May God save us from coming under this dictatorship once again.

A new interview with Richard Bell, historian of money, retired manipulator of stocks.

Q: So, foreign investors are accelerating their withdrawal of money from the US.

A: A significant amount is being shifted to Europe.

Q: So is this current stock market debacle an OP run by the European Union (EU)?

A: That is true, but too simplistic. Dr. Paisley points out that the EU has been a stepoperation.

Q: Meaning?

A: First came the Common Market. Then we had the European Community. Now we have the Europe Union. At each step, people were told, “This is a good and limited concept.” That was all a joke. It was always about creating one giant Euro-super-state, under the control of a few people.

Q: And so?

A: So, the Vatican has been everywhere during this step-operation, urging the parties forward, promoting the idea of UNITY. Which is always a winner. People like that concept. Paisley points out that unity is used as a soft hammer to make people forget who is doing the wrong thing and who is doing the right thing. UNITY as a tool of propaganda means: No one is really bad. Make alliances with everyone. Melt into One. That is a disastrous political policy.

Q: And the Vatican is pushing the mission of the EU because?

A: Because making friends and influencing people and playing nice and urging unity IS the current strategy of the Vatican, in these times. It is using that soft approach to create bigger political structures, over which it can exercise control. People forget that a dedicated Roman Catholic, if he is at the head of a large organization, can easily function as a front for the Vatican. If you have ten men like this, all of them powerful,

all of them who have been helped by the Church into their positions of power, then you are looking at a formidable controlling force—which owes its allegiance to the Vatican.

Q: Name such a man.

A: Jacques Delors, who was president, at one point, of the European Commission. He met with Dr. Carey, the Archbishop of Canterbury, and they spoke of this “shared spirituality” that was needed. But that term, for the Vatican, is code for “the one and only Church.” Its Church. People shrink away from realizing that the Vatican has ALWAYS considered itself the rightful ruler of Earth. I can’t be any plainer than that. And all this footsy-playing with other religions and churches is just drivel, behind which lies the real agenda. Paisley, in his article, quotes a letter from the Pope John Paul II to the Archbishop of Prague—“We cannot simply conceive of Europe as a market of economic exchanges or a place for the circulation of ideas but, above all, it must be a genuine community of nations, which want to unite their future and live like brothers, respecting the cultures and spiritual traditions…” You KNOW this is a fraud, because if there is one thing the Roman Church, behind the scenes, does NOT respect, it is the “various spiritual traditions.” That’s the soft soap. That’s the New Agey stuff, the warm fuzzy. That’s the front behind which the Vatican licks its chops, as it contemplates an EU which is fully organized and ready for further takeover from Above. Above, being the Vatican itself. This is no joke. This is almost two thousand years of plotting and conniving and working toward the goal of Rule. But people reject the idea because they think that the Vatican is weak and lost and can never command billions of people to walk into a Church and fall on their knees. But you see, the Vatican, above all, has patience. The long-term goal has thousands and thousands of steps. I know this from numerous contacts over the years. Near the end of my career on Wall Street, I used to tell my friends—changing a quote I had once read—“The Jews who are not Jews run Wall Street at the pleasure of the British financiers who have an illusory idea about the primacy of England, and they in turn serve at the pleasure of the Vatican, which remains in the shadows.” It’s more or less a straight line, and the top of the line gives you the group which appears to be the weakest. Appears. That’s the operative word. If you read Tupper Saussy’s fine book, Rulers of Evil, you will discover that the first translation of Sun-tzu’s classic treatise, Art of War, into a Western language was made in 1772, in French. By Joseph-Marie Amiot, an astronomer in the court of the Emperor of China. Amiot was a Jesuit priest. The Jesuits know all about appearing weak into order to win, and they are perhaps the world’s greatest appliers of Sun-tzu. And they are in it for the long haul.

Q: Then what function, in this scheme, does the EU play?

A: The shill.

Q: Explain.

A: The shill parks himself near the con man and makes it seem like the game can be won easily. The shill is the man who makes it look easy. I stretch the meaning of the term a little. But a shill is a bright penny that attracts attention. The EU represents UNITY. Unity is the bright penny that exclaims, “Look! We can do it. We can all live in harmony. All we need to do is sit down and talk long enough, and all our divisions and conflicts will be solved.” The shill draws the crowds. The shill makes the crowd think there is something very good here. The shill is the magnet, if you will, that sucks in the customers, the adherents, the loyal ones, the people of hope. It’s the oldest trick in the book. And the people who play this trick on a grand scale are very, very clever. They want total domination, but they carve out a circuitous route, because that is the way to arrive. They set up a front which is the shill, and the shill looks very, very good. I don’t mean to offend anyone by this, but for the Vatican, Jesus is a shill, the ultimate shill. Of course, their version of him is so far from the older concept it isn’t even funny. But I digress.

Q: So you’re saying that the Vatican looks for a group that can appear to be very, let’s say, humanitarian, and it uses that to attract followers.

A: Of course. What do you think they spend their time doing? But in their secret “catechism,” creating groups which appear to do good works is really the creation of shills. That’s half of what the Vatican DOES.

Q: People at large would appear to be quite hypnotized NOT to believe this.

A: That’s why I don’t like to talk about it too often. It’s frustrating. People look at me like I’ve stepped on their precious cat.

Q: Okay. Let’s take this a step further. How about this? “The Vatican, working through certain players in the EU, have been making war on the US stock market.”

A: Now you’re clicking.

Q: And the motive is?

A: To weaken anything powerful that is not completely within the circle of power of the Vatican.

Q: Even if such weakening brings about chaos.

A: Especially if it brings about chaos. The very atmosphere in which the Vatican thrives. Chaos ALWAYS equals new followers who are looking for a way to assuage their fear.

Q: You’re saying this is just a current OP that follows along with a very old strategy.

A: A strategy in which the Vatican is the master.

Q: Now, in your years on Wall Street, did you run into people who knew all this, who saw the larger dimensions of the game?

A: I did. Mostly, they kept their mouths shut. Essentially, you’re asking me, “What does a mid-level or low-level player in an ultimately corrupt game do when he discovers a few of the larger dimensions of that game?”

Q: Well, you could say that question applies, in a sense, to all of us, if you stretch the meaning a little.

A: Exactly. That IS the question, isn’t it? We may not be willing and conscious participants in the direction the game is going, but we are in the game, one way or another. I myself WAS a man who twisted the truth to maneuver money in certain ways. And finally, because I was very bull-headed, because I was very selfish—it took me quite awhile to wake up and get out of my own trap.

Q: Here is another Paisley quote. “Deliberate engineering to create the coming about of the European Union provides an enormous opportunity to develop and extend the influence of the Church of Rome. Remember, it is Roman Catholic laymen who, from the beginning, were behind the formation of, and today continue to push the growth of, the European Union.”

A: And look at something else. What is one of the most important economic wars for market share on the planet?

Q: The one between the US and what is now the EU.

A: Yes.

Q: Part of the reason the EU was formed was to give a Europe a chance to compete with the US in that area.

A: Yes. And, situated above all this, its sights set on weakening that “far too independent nation,” the US, has been the Vatican. And one step in that weakening operation is the current trashing of US corporations and the stock market. Which, covertly, was an OP launched by the EU, behind which firmly stands the Vatican.

Q: Layers of the onion.

A: Right.

Q: There are undoubtedly other forces at work in the weakening of the US trading markets.

A: There are. But the big unnoticed one—that’s what I’m describing.

Q: Let’s get back to the shill. Who stands behind him?

A: In a very mild situation, it’s just a con man. But when you get really nasty, you’re talking about somebody who operates like a demon.

Q: Do you mean that literally?

A: No. But other people would. I’m talking about somebody who OWNS somebody else.

Q: Take a very loyal Roman Catholic businessman of great wealth.

A: Yes. One who owes the Church and its agents all he has—because they engineered a lot of it for him. This is a kind of shill, who attracts people to his side. And behind him is the possession force—the people who own him, who, if they want to, can destroy everything he holds precious. And the businessman knows that. Somewhere inside him, he knows it and is afraid of it. The shill and the demon.

Q: A good title for a book.

A: Yes.

Q: Along this line, here is another quote cited by Paisley. This is from Paul Henri Spaak, who has been called one of the founding fathers of the Euro Common Market, the forerunner to the EU: “We [Europe] do not want another committee. A: Yes. I read that quote with great interest. It gives off quite a bit of flavor, doesn’t it?

Q: Yes.

A: All sorts of resonance. On one level, it almost seems to be a call for a Satan. On another level, for a fascist dictator waving a wand over Europe.

Q: The Vatican did support Hitler in certain ways and felt it could control him.

A: And that was so. If Hitler had conquered Europe, the Vatican, with its far-flung and very well-placed agents of distinction, would have controlled him sooner or later. Hitler, despite some of his statements, was quite enamored of the Church.

Q: What other resonances do you get from Spaak’s statement?

A: He is asking for someone like a Pope, if a Pope could move out of being a figurehead into real power day to day. I also get the sense that Spaak is willing to roll the dice against any odds because he feels, at that time, that the future of Europe is in a very desperate situation.

Q: So the formation of the EU was really a desperate move, in some ways.

A: At the level of business-people and financiers and bankers in Europe, it was. At the mid-level. And when you are in that frame of mind, you are willing to do anything to regain the kind of power you feel is rightfully yours. Your solution is ALWAYS for a form of fascism, regardless of what face you put on it. You have to remember that.

Q: The EU was a fascist movement.

A: Covertly, yes. Absolutely. Whether you have one man standing on a balcony shouting to crowds, or a bunch of men quietly sitting in a room making all the really important decisions, it is fascism.

Q: Paisley also quotes from—

A: You mean the Sunday Telegraph article?

Q: Yes.

A: I have it here.

Q: Read it.

Q: What do you think of that?

A: If you insert the word “secret” in there, I think they’ve got it right. You see, we live in an age when humanitarianism is the—

Q: Propaganda foundation stone.

A: Right.

Q: Why is that?

A: Because so many popular movements aimed at freedom and justice have filled the landscape. So the strategy of the controllers is to go with that. Just like in judo. You go with the motion of your opponent. You don’t try to lash out at it. Part of the Art of War.

Q: You become the great peacemaker and mediator.

A: That’s right.

Q: That’s the ultimate trump card.

A: And the Vatican has a long history of being able to play that card.

Q: Does there come a time when, even if enough people see through the crap, it’s too late?

A: No. But you do have to do certain things.

Q: Like what?

A: You have to expose the propaganda. That’s number one. You have to do that. Then you have to build alternative structures. All sorts of them. And you have to forget about asking the bad guys for help. The whole idea of being nice to people who will do everything they can to control you never works. And if you understand the real motives and intentions of the enemy, you WON’T make that mistake.

Q: You won’t assume that nicey-nice will turn them around.

A: Correct.

Q: The shill and the demon.

A: The front and the back.

Q: Some stories about demons have them feeding off and enjoying the emotions and pain and troubles and suffering of the people they lock on to.

A: I think that’s a fairly good description of the Vatican down through history. If you add in, bilking the people of their money and possessions.

Q: Then it would seem a little curious to have the Vatican calling demonic stuff the evil that must be opposed and defeated.

A: I think that’s characterized as a Cover Story. You’ll find it in a number of areas. The enemy you prop up or invent to solidify your group is really YOU. It’s pretty clever.

Q: Several writers have suggested the Vatican has fallen into being the epitome of devilishness, within its own walls.

A: I enjoy those stories. Because I think they miss the point that the Vatican has been about deception and control since its beginnings. After all, why bother to build a global organization to dominate a path that is supposed to lead to personal salvation? Why not just mark out the path and let people walk it on their own? If they want to? You can’t force someone to take that path. If you do, you get a false result, a fake result.

Q: So you feel that secret societies are important in the telling of real human history. Since the Vatican is really such a society.

A: Yes, that’s right. I’m a person who’s come to conclude that people really do sit down and meet in rooms, that even if they share common goals—and they do—that’s not enough to mount long-term projects and operations. It’s just common sense. If you fight a land war, don’t you have meetings? Don’t you iron our strategy? Don’t you hide that strategy? Don’t you use many agents in the intelligence field? Don’t those agents pretend to be something other than what they are? Imagine what would happen if the generals just assumed they all had shared objectives and proceeded on their own. It would be a moronic thing from the outset. The Jesuits are the intel arm of the Church, in exactly the same way that the CIA works. They obtain information, and they also do covert OPS. I have met more than a few very, very bright Jesuits who are in the financial field. They certainly know what they’re doing. They certainly keep their real objectives close to the vest.

Q: How low do you think the Dow is going to fall?

A: I think to make a serious estimate of that would be a mistake, if you are a person who is trying to acquire useful knowledge about markets. It’s too up in the air. It’s the

wrong target of knowledge to shoot for. But just to guess, for the hell of it—we could see the Dow go down from 11,000, where it was, to 7500 or even 7000, or 6500. But that’s just a foolish guess.

Q: If it did go that low, what would it mean?

A: (laughs) It would mean it’s going to go back up. But just as a top in the market is a confusing time, the same is true of a bottom. All sorts of false starts that go nowhere. Up, then collapse. Up, then collapse again. And then, it finally begins to move up. But you see, all this is thinking about a fantasy, really. Because we don’t know. We could make a hundred predictions and then say, after one of them turns out right—see, on August 24, I said 7000 and I was right. As a market drops lower, more of the big-time money people grab up what they want. And the lower it gets, the MORE big-time are those who grab up huge numbers of shares in their areas of interest. It’s feeding time for the vultures and vampires and demons. They could be ready to take the market up by next week, or it might be two years from now. When the trinket that is dangling from your wrist is the stock market or the economy of a nation, you can pretty well figure that WHIM and SADISM are prominent motives. And also, what you can get away with, given your goals.

Q: But if the Vatican is a major force behind the current weaken-America OP, when is enough going to be enough?

A: Now you’re talking a lot of different of different factors.

Q: Such as?

A: The most important ones are those around the question, “How many of your own people, who are very loyal, but also not in on the true Game—how long can they hold out and stay loyal and not just go nuts?” You want to keep your structure in place. You want chaos, but you also want your vast network to be able to act. Those are tricky questions for controllers. All sorts of personal feelings can enter in.

Q: In the past, I’ve heard you talk, in relation to investing, about over-focus and under-focus. What do those terms mean?

A: Under-focus would be, I want to predict how far the market is going to fall, and THEN I’ll decide what to buy or sell and when. That doesn’t work. Over-focus would be, at the close of trading on Monday, when everyone is getting in to buy up the stocks that have fallen heavily during the morning, I’m going to get in and pick the heaviest loser of the day and buy it, because it’s going to go back up tomorrow. That’s a complete crap-shoot, too. But you know, these two principles work in all sorts of areas. In personal relationships, an over-focus would be, he scratches his face once in awhile and that bothers me. Under-focus would be, he’s spending all our money but I’m sure he knows what he’s doing. Neither extreme works.

Q: Do you think the world is doomed?

A: What do you mean by doomed?

Q: All 6 billion of us are going to fall under a steel-trap tyranny and we won’t be able to get out.

A: Well, we can always get out. But it has to start from the bottom. To try to change everything from the top is a waste of time. You have to know as much as you can about what’s going on at the top to know what to do at the bottom.

Q: I thought you’d say that my question was asking you to do an under-focus.

A: Very tricky. No, I think the closer you get to an understanding of what’s going on at the top, the better prepared you are to take action.

Q: It occurs to me that your analysis of shills and demons applies to the medical cartel.

A: It certainly does. You have your studies and your testimonials from celebrities and your poster kids for diseases and socialite fund-raisers for research—and they are all shills. Most of them are unknowing shills. The studies are fakes, by the way. But all

the shills are fronting for the same system of medicine that kills so many people. The demons are certain people who really set the agenda, the research agenda for the drug companies. They know they are killing people and making money doing it.

Q: They take pleasure from death?

A: It’s very politically incorrect to suggest that, but it’s true.

Q: Many people would say, how can it be true?

A: You have to realize that there are people in this world who do, in fact, take pleasure from that. That’s the way they are. You can offer all sorts of explanations for how they got that way, but most of that is just to let them off the hook. They don’t deserve that reward. They are evil, and they want to be evil. On a much smaller scale, look at the corrupt broker who enjoys hyping stocks to customers when he knows that he has no idea whether the stock is going to go up or down. He enjoys the weird power in that. He likes it. He likes stealing money and lying and getting away with it. The sooner we come to grips with this, the sooner we’ll be able to get our nations back on the right course. Do you feel how much opposition there is to saying that so-and-so criminal just wanted to commit his crimes? We retreat from that, we try to make it all so complex and nice and we want to restore “harmony” by explaining away the whole thing. But these people do exist. They wear very expensive suits, some of them, and they get their feeling of life from destruction. It’s a kick for them.

Q: Getting back to the Vatican—

A: Yes. Getting back to that, part of the big psychological OP of the second half of the 1900s has been the idea that everyone is good and should be approached that way. This is one of the front ideas of the Roman Church, in its latest fake incarnation of “share and care.” It’s just a ruse, but it certainly screws up whole civilizations.

Q: I think one reason people love soap operas so much is because they give us a smattering of characters who are evil and like being evil. It’s right out there.

A: I’m sure that’s true.

Q: We’ve just seen the $60 billion merger of two drug companies, Pfizer and Pharmacia. This makes Pfizer, which was already the largest drug house in the US, even bigger.

A: There are many reasons for these mergers, but looking at it from the top of the basic control agenda, it’s all about shrinking down the number of people who have any say in what happens to us. In empire building, the people who really sit behind the scenes want larger and larger structures to emerge, because, if they can control THOSE, they can control the whole show. If you have 4 million important power groups on the planet, then controlling the planet is going to be hard. But if you can shrink that number of groups down to a hundred, you can move in and work on the leaders of those hundred groups—the people who aren’t already in your pocket—and you can begin to move them into your orbit. This is a basic fact that many people seem to understand, but they forget it or ignore the mechanics of how it works, and they move on. They shouldn’t move on. That’s IT.

Q: As we talk here, I get the feeling that you have some experience with Vatican recruiting methods—undertaken, of course, through many lower-level cut-outs.

A: You’re right. I do. It’s in the area of making lay-Catholics into agents. I have known several people who were approached. The basic routine went like this. A Catholic businessman in a large city is contacted by the local chapter of one of those Catholic groups. There are scores of them. They have different names. They all seem benign or charitable or merely honorary.

Q: So this businessman goes to a meeting.

A: Sure. A lunch, a meeting. He ends up joining the group. He’s already a successful man. Very energetic and ambitious. Wants to get ahead. So, after a year or so, an opportunity is placed in his path. One of his new friends in the group introduces him to a loan officer at a bank, and before you know it, he gets cash to expand his business. Things are starting to cook. This is a fairly slow process, and at every step the

businessman is vetted. Loosely, because nothing has really happened yet. But after another year or two, he acquires a partner in a new venture. The partner is also a member of this lay-Catholic club. The new venture prospers. The businessman meets the local bishop. He is nominated for some kind of layman of the year award. He doesn’t win, but his profile is raised. After years of not going to church, he now goes. He even receives confession once a month. After three or four years, he is introduced to a “financial expert” who is also from the same local group. The expert is really a Jesuit, but very few people know that. The Jesuit becomes his friend. He takes him on a trip to Rome, and they have an audience with a cardinal. Brief. On and on it goes. The businessman is vetted every step of the way. He buys into a construction company. He is now becoming rich. He doesn’t think much about it, but his new lifestyle is really dependent on his acquired Catholic friends. And all they have done for him. He of course would never want to give up the new lifestyle. And now, on a business trip, he meets a woman in a bar. She is quite pretty and friendly. They sleep together. Every time he goes to that city on business, he meets her. Unknown to him, their meetings are recorded on videotape. The Jesuit friend, one day, manages to bring up the subject of this woman. Because the Jesuit friend knows her. He tells the businessman that she is a prostitute, and even though she may not have charged him any money, well—and so the businessman goes to confession and tells the story to his priest. And so on and so forth. And ten years later this man is really all the way in the pocket of his Jesuit friend. And in the case I’m describing, we eventually get to political office. Running for office. And winning. And down the road, with a lot of money in the bank, and many political favors later, this businessman is offered a post in a federal agency. Has to do with foreign trade. He takes the job, on the strong recommendation of his Jesuit friend. And finally, after several more turns of the wheel which I won’t describe, this businessman becomes an ambassador. And is completely beholden. He takes orders, although he may not think of it that way. And he is an agent. He passes along information to his friend. Lots of information. And he becomes trusted. And now he is told of a larger program. It involves making the Church more prominent in the lives of many people. The expansion of the influence of the Church-because that’s really what it’s all about, isn’t it? And this businessman joins another Catholic group, and is made a knight. The businessman is never considered to be an insider, because he has certain scruples. So he is used as he can be used. And one day, for three minutes, he meets the Pope, as part of a group. It is the culmination of his

adult life. He has passed along a great deal of information to his Jesuit friend, for years.

Q: What kind of information?

A: From diplomatic cables, for example. Some of these cables contained sensitive information. The Church has been interested in various delicate negotiations between the US and a foreign nation.

Q: So you’re saying, multiply this by a factor of a few thousand such agents—

A: Many more than that.

Q: Okay—

A: And you get a tremendous flow of information coming into Vatican intelligence. And this is just information I’m talking about. There are also favors of all kinds. You know, if you read the first few pages of Saussy’s book, Rulers of Evil, you’ll see a list of Roman Catholics in government who have had key positions vis-à-vis US foreign policy. Positions like CIA Director, National Security Advisor, Secretary of State, Ambassador-at-Large. And there is also a list of senators who run [or ran] the various sub-committees within the Senate Foreign Relations Committee—all Roman Catholics. Biden, Subcommittee on European Affairs. Sarbanes, International Economic Policy. Moynihan, Near Eastern and South Asian Affairs. Kerry, Terrorism, Narcotics, and International Communications. Dodd, Western Hemisphere and Peace Corps Affairs.

Q: Yes. I’ve seen the list. And that is just the beginning. In 2003, following the retirement of Sir Evelyn de Rothschild as head of N M Rothschild & Sons of London, the English and French firms merged to become one umbrella entity called “Group Rothschild.” Ownership was shared equally between the French and English branches of the family under the leadership of David de Rothschild. In 2007, the English branch sold their share to the French branch. The French branch now fully own N M Rothschild & Sons.

* Member of the Supervisory Board of De Beers Group
* Member of the Supervisory Board of Groupe Casino

David de Rothschild also owns a share of the Château Lafite-Rothschild vineyard but is not active in the day to day operations.”
